This is a filter for Spamihilator. Its purpose is to read the X-Spam-Status header set by Spamassassin. It uses the values found there to determine whether the email is spam or not. This is useful when your mail server or ISP is running SpamAssassin.
This filter is provided with an installer, which will place Trust SpamAssassin Headers.dll in your Spamihilator plugins folder, and supporting files such as the uninstaller, and this readme file in a Trust SpamAssassin Headers subfolder of the plugins folder.
It will also install the .net framework, if not already installed, and place the C++ runtimes in a Microsoft.VC80.CRT subfolder of the Spamihilator plugins folder. These are shared components which may be used by other plugins, so will not be removed on uninstallation.
If Spamihilator is running while installation is taking place, it will have to be restarted before the plugin can be used.
I would recommend positioning this filter high in the priorities list, as if Spamassassin is well configured then it should result in accurate determination of spam and non-spam messages, and when unable to make an accurate determination it does leave the spam status as Unknown.
This plugin requires no configuration. It reads the X-Spam-Status header, looking at the score and the required score:
This filter can be uninstalled through the control panel "Add/Remove Programs" applet, or by running the uninstaller found in the plugins\Trust SpamAssassin Headers folder.
It is recommended to exit Spamihilator before uninstallation.
